Bathroom DIY Redo

...and by DIY, I mean, HYHDI (have your husband do it)

Before
Blah.  This is my girls' bathroom and it was time for a change.
Same PB shower curtain we've had since our apartment in Cali, sold it for $20 on KSL.  Score!

Painted it my favorite blue that's in our laundrey room.  Notice typical builder mirror.

And presto chango!  Jonathan did it all...awesome frame around the mirror.

Cute waiscotting with hooks for the girls' towels.

Jonathan:  So, pretty much you are just setting in stone that our next baby will be a girl (not an annoucement) with the pink towels.

Me:  What are you talking about?  I painted it blue for heaven's sake!

A big thank you to my brother Tyler for letting us use all of his tools/saws/air compressors/nail guns/etc.
A big thank you to my cute husband Jonathan for making his crazy wife's ideas come to fruition with only a few choice 4-letter words being uttered.
And thank you to House of Smiths for my inspiration total idea copying (seriously, check out that pantry).

Mother of the Year Award

if it's still available, of course.  When I didn't hear London, I started looking for her and this is where I found her:

Emptying out the cupboard with no child lock and very harmless chemicals like bleach and stuff.

Well London, now that it's emptied, what are you going to do?

Sit in it, of course.

And try to put the harmless chemicals back into the cupboard with me.

I love how the bleach bottle is totally cramping her style.  Luckily, poison control was not necessary.

Fire Station #123

We are so happy to have our brand new fire station officially open!

We enjoyed a lovely tour.  I don't think the fireman took me serious when I asked if we could just run over and use their gym every once and a while...oh...and if they wouldn't mind watching my kids while I did that?  They are community helpers, right?

Sledding Saturday

Jonathan took the girls on their first sledding outing this year (finally!).

The nearby park seemed to entice Addy more than the sledding

Dress Up Fun

We scored the dress-up box from my sister and between that and her new make-up kit, she is in heaven!  It's always fun to see exactly how bright those pink cheeks are going to be.

I think they dressed London up to be their servant.

Dreamin' Big

Addy: Mom, do you know what I want to be when I grow up?

Me:  Nope.  Tell me.

Addy:  I'm gonna be a cowgirl.

Me:  Ooooo, that sounds fun.

Addy:  You know what London's gonna be?

Me:  No, what?

Addy:  A pizza guy delivery girl.

We Eberhardts really know how to shoot for the stars!

34 Reasons I Love This Man

  1.  He looks pretty cute on top of this mountain...I'm guessing it's the Grand Teton.  That's not a peace sign, it means he's done it twice...probably with his eyes closed and one hand tied behind his back.
  2. He is the best Dad!
  3. He has more patience that anyone I know...and would have to to be married to me.  I think that it takes a certain person to be married to me, but really, Jonathan is so easy going, anyone would be lucky to be married to him.  Good thing it's me.
  4. He is kind, always.  Jonathan was the last of his 3 brothers to get married and all of their wives told me that I was so lucky because Jonathan was the "nice one."  True.  He never raises his voice (...his wife on the other hand...).
  5. He is the best snow shoveler I know.  He actually enjoys it and will often get up even earlier to get the walks shoveled before he heads to work.  If it's a Saturday, he'll start on the neighbor's as well.
  6. He loves me.  I know he really loves me.
  7. He works REALLY HARD for our family.  He is out the door before I'm even awake.
  8. He is very goal-oriented.
  9. He loves a clean car which means I often get the benefit of him cleaning both his and mine inside and out with only an occasional judgemental look when he starts on mine.
  10. He has gorgeous crystal blue eyes that pretty much disappear when he smiles or laughs.
  11. He supports me in everything I do.
  12. He is neat and clean, but doesn't get mad if the house isn't as clean as it should be.
  13. He makes it possible for me to be a stay-at-home Mom.
  14. He gets along great with my family.
  15. He loves the outdoors (see picture above) and makes lots of sacrifices for his own wants and desires for our family.  (Dang that Dave Ramsey!)
  16. He is sincere and sensitive.
  17. He leaves for work by 6:30 or 7 am every day...he gets up even earlier to study his scriptures.
  18. He is tall.  I love that I can wear tall heels and still have to stand on my tippie toes to kiss him.
  19. He is the best bathroom cleaner around.  It doesn't happen really often, but when he starts cleaning the shower, I know we can eat dinner in there later.
  20. My favorite is when he is all dressed up for church and has on Gio...mmm, that's the best!
  21. He's not ashamed to drive the minivan.  Yeah baby!
  22. He hardly EVER spends any money on himself, even if I tell him I think he should, he'll say, "I think there are other places we could use that money."  So selfless!
  23. He seems to know just the right time to take the girls for a little time away from Mom (it may be the crazed eyes and steam coming out of my ears).
  24. He is very successful in his work.  He never takes any short cuts and has always been rewarded with the absolute highest ranking with his annual job performance.
  25. He lets me be right...how annoying for him. (Can you sense how I married up?)
  26. He loves kids.  He's always ready WAY before I am to try for another.  He's also great with my nieces and nephews.
  27. He makes really good breakfasts...usually on the weekends.
  28. He has an awesome family.  Pops & Sans are the best in-laws in the world!  (Remember the Cancun trip?)
  29. He warms up the bed at night and lets my cold body come snuggle next to his.
  30. He gave himself the nickname Beefcake.
  31. He sits through dance recitals without complaining.
  32. He is a very loyal friend.
  33. He packs his own healthy lunch to take to work everyday, while his wife, who probably should be doing it, sleeps soundly.
  34. He is hot!

Happy 34th Birthday!
I love you!

Lovin' that "Fruit Shake"

I'm pretty sure this is why sippee cups were invented.

The Annual Frampton Family New Year's Party

Happy 1.1.11!

The kiddos built this lovely pyramid of plastic cups (thanks Dani!).  They were quite proud and would freak out anytime London (the destroyer) would go near it.

After a yummy breakfast buffet, we did a service project for the refugees my cousin Jessica works with.

Then it was onto the annual talent show.  Grandma Ber asks that someone from each family (if not more) share a talent.  And she's not kidding.  So, we have all sorts of fun representation.

Here's Dallin playing his guitar.  Addy, sitting in the front row, would like to be the president of his fan club with her 2nd cousin Lola.

Travis and crew showing off their crossfit moves.

And my mom saved our family from having to do any more talent by playing Sleigh Ride with my Aunt Becky...they do this every year.
