24th of July Children's Parade

My sister started an annual children's parade in her neighborhood for the 24th of July.  I think this is the 5th or 6th year?  We decided to join along with some of our most favorite cousins.  Actually, all the cousins were there, just only got a picture of 8/12 of them.

Addy, her shades, and her awesome bike.  Realized about 5 minutes into it that both of her tires were totally flat.  Uncle Chad to the rescue.  Then she had a meltdown by the yummy lemonade stand because she was going too fast.  She ended up ditching the bike and riding in the stroller.

The cutest baby pioneer I've ever seen.

So pretty much this parade makes a loop around their neighborhood and the only spectators are a few grandparents because most of the parents are helping kids along the way.

Great turnout.  My sister kind of has this effect on everything she's in charge of.  She's cool.  People know her.

Boating Fun

...and by fun I mean fun and not so fun.   On our way up to Jordanelle to meet Jonathan and his dad, Addy kept saying that her tummy hurt.  Right around Lamb's Canyon she puked and puked and puked.  Awesome.  With the windows down we just carried on because I only had so many wipes and there was way more puke than that.  At Jordanelle, we used the hose at the fish cleaning station to clean off Addy, floor mats, and the carseat.  Thank goodness Sandi was with me!  She definitely earned Top Grandma for the day!  Once we were all cleaned up, we were ready to go!

London was ready to take charge and find us some good water

Addy was content to just sleep on Mom's lap

Pops & London

When Jonathan was done skiing, she was crawling over the top of the boat to get in with him.  She loved the water!

Can't wait for more fun in Bear Lake.  Thanks for the yummy dinner Sans!

Addy puked a couple more times over the side of the boat and a couple more times in a towel on the way home.  Poor thing.  Thought it was just something she ate until I found myself hurling into the toilet at 4 am.  I haven't puked for like 10 years...don't know how you sick pregnant ladies or you bulimics do it...so overrated.

Park City Saturday

Jonathan and Tyler  rode in the Tour of Park City on the 17th of July. Jenni and I decided to go up and meet them after their ride.  Addy kept wondering where all the parks were for this place called Park City.  It just so happened that they were having a kids festival close to the finish line which was quite sparse with kids which was nice for us Herriman folk which are use to oodles of them.  They just opened their splash park which looked like a lot of fun, we just didn't have swimsuits.

But we did wait in line for face painting
Stella, Claire, Addy & Annie

Just for the record, Claire is almost exactly 2 years older than Addy and almost the same height.

Addy had a much different experience than this one two years ago.

The Time Machine

A couple of months ago, Brittany, one of my counselors came up with this great idea to have a time machine for Primary where we could have visitors come from the scriptures or from other stories. We all loved the idea (the bishop may have thought we were crazy) and decided to execute.  After a few get togethers with the ladies, some spray paint, a sewing machine, a cricut machine, a few cases of strep throat, a real effort with power tools and help from Summer's husband Travis, we turned a boring ol' freezer box into this beauty.

We called it a "Transporter: Testimonies Through Time"
The arrow points to the past, present, or future.  Christmas lights on top of the box glow underneath spraypainted medicine cups.  PVC pipe lever on the side the kids pull down to get the visitor out of the time machine. And the best idea (not mine), was those little storm globes underneath the writing at the top.  The visitor inside the box squeezes them and they spin and light up.

Our time machine debuted with THREE visitors.  Summer went all out.  Those kids were SILENT. Ted Kendrick was an awesome blind man healed by Jesus (not sure why he's still wearing 3D glasses, but whatever)

Tami Kendrick was healed of her leprosy by Jesus.

Ted & Tami Kendrick and Jenni Emery...all three fit in that box...good thing they like each other and good thing they are such good sports!  We're still not quite sure why Summer made Tami wear a gold turban, guess she was a really fashionable leper...from India?

The back of our time machine with the cute curtain.  Summer hung a sharpie inside for all visitors to sign their names and who they come as.  We're hoping it becomes the "it" thing around the ward.

"So...Sis. So-and-so, have you been in the time machine yet?"
"No, I wish!  I keep asking them to let me dress up and act like someone from the past so I can write my name in that time machine, but they say the waiting list is like a year long or something."

We can dream, right?

Herriman Beach 2010

So what if the sand is like a poor man's pedicure...the backdrop is gorgeous!
Anytime anyone wants to go, give me a call.  I'll throw in the sand toys, the umbrella, and the boogie boards and drive right over.

Frampton Family Reunion 2010

My Mom is the oldest of 8 children.  Every year they each take a turn planning the annual family reunion.  This year it was my Grandma's turn.  She planned a fun-filled day at their church and in their backyard. There are over 107 of us including siblings, in-laws, cousins, cousins' spouses, and cousins' kids...and the really weird part is that we all like each other!

We joined the reunion all ready in progress at my Grandma's church where there was a softball game, then a bike ride, then into the church for basketball, and dance performances.

Then it was back to Grandma's backyard.  Grandma wanted there to be a patriotic theme so she asked that everyone come prepared with a short recitation on the founding fathers, the flag, etc.  Here we are listening just waiting for the word that we could swim!

Woo Hoo!

Grandma got all of these watermelons for a fun picture op.

Then it was back to the pool.  My grandparents have this huge slide which always provides loads of fun for the kids...

...and the adults...

and the adults who act like kids.

Yep, my uncle Jason is crazy and went down on his feet...

twice!
After swimming London found the leftover watermelon.

We had a delicious Cafe Rio-style dinner and ended with a nice testimony meeting.

London had fun too.

Thank you Grandma Ber and Grandpa Fuddy for a fun, educational, uplifting, yummy, all-around great day!

Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July!  Are we patriotic or what?
Yes, Jonathan's shirt is Polo, just in case you were wondering.

My parents always invite all my siblings' in-laws and all their siblings and their families to come over for a pool party and BBQ.  This year we missed any Eberhardt representation (all you travelers), but it's okay because I'm not sure where we would have put you.  (just kidding, sort of)

We could have put you on this ginormous fun water slide, plenty of room here.
(picture taken before any of the other families arrived, it was pretty crowded too)

Cute nephew Graham and his lovely mother Tara
They have lived in Hong Kong for the past 2 years, they are here for the summer before they move to mainland China for another year.

One of my all time favorite people in the world, Sarah.  We've been friends since the 3rd grade.  Grew up in the same ward, danced on the same teams, roommates in college, missions together.  She now lives in Colorado, so it was so FUN to be able to see her.  She's also single for anyone who's got a stellar man to set her up with.

London is still warming up to the idea of the pool.

This is the best pic I could get of my girls.

After a fun-filled day at my parents, we Herriman folk got in our jammies and gathered on my brother's lawn a la stadium seating for some spectacular fireworks.  I wasn't at all sad that I sold my Stadium of Fire tickets after this show.

See what I mean?

London liked it.

So did Addy.

Then it was home to put London to bed and Addy and Jonny did sparklers.  She was a little bit nervous, but after one or two, she was a pro.

Happy 4th of July.  We are so grateful to live in a free country.
God Bless America.
