If you are a Trader Joe's fan, here's a great video...

When I'm in Vegas next month, I'm getting some of those spicy tortilla chips and cinnamon letter crackers!

Dear Mr. Trader Joe,

Even though Utahns don't drink a lot of alcohol, we sure do eat a lot. Please bring your store to Utah...there is some great land available just down the street from me.

Thank you.

Snow Day...Finally!

So, we're a little slow at introducing our child to snow. Didn't do it last year, and finally got her snow pants, boots, and a sled this year for Christmas, but hadn't even used them until just recently. Good thing Addy has a great Dad. I just ran outside for brief moments to take the pictures.
For the most part, she really liked it. Her gloves were too big so she wouldn't wear them, but she got pretty good at balancing on the uneven snow with her hands in her pockets.

Happy Valentine's Day

These are in reverse order, but thanks to Grandma Cozy and Grandpa Barney for the fun Valentine's package. Addy was in heaven and wouldn't stop to look up for the camera.

Nursery

Addy really enjoys going to nursery at church. She always comes home singing songs that I have never taught her and sings them quite well (not vocally, but knows the words).

On Sunday, I walked by her classroom when they were doing singing time, so I stopped and watched through the little window on the door. They were all sitting on their little carpet squares in a semi-circle watching the nursery coordinator lead them in songs. He (that's right, we have a fabulous guy who does the singing time and actually enjoys it!) had lots of cute props for the kids to hold, i.e. stars for Twinkle Twinkle, suns for Jesus Wants Me For A Sunbeam, pictures of Jesus for I Am A Child of God, etc. He did lots of cute action songs too, like the usual Once There Was A Snowman and Head Shoulders Knees & Toes. Anyway, I was interested to see Addy do these songs because she likes to do them at home.

They started singing the various songs with all the actions and she just sat there. Nothing. Legs out in front, just sitting. She would turn her head to watch the other kids and then turn her head back to watch Bro. Kingsbury, but that was it. Again, not surprised by this. I actually thought I would be surprised to see her actually doing the motions because she we all know how well she does with large groups. Every other kid was participating, but Addy was just sitting and watching. At least she was sitting. I guess she just turns the record button on and then hits play when she gets home.

A little while later Bro. Kingsbury came into primary to get me. He said that he was taking pictures of all the nursery kids and got great pictures of all of them, except Addy. Hmmm, that's weird, she LOVES having her picture taken. I told him I would email him a picture when I got home. So here is her official nursery picture (yes, she is being restrained).

You Know You Watch Too Much CNN When...

So my cute friend Stacie just got back from a cruise to the Caribbean where she picked up some maracas for her 4-year-old son Ethan. After misplacing them, he asked his Mom,

"Hey Mom, have you seen my Barack Obamas?"
