Odds & Ends

I pulled out the bumbo chair and little miss London remembered that it was her chair.  She had to eat breakfast in it for about 3 days and then she was over it.

Jonathan has a great group of friends from high school.  Before they went on their missions, Bill Pingree (center), taught mission prep classes to them every Sunday.  They had a reunion of sorts recently.  I think we have both been blessed with amazing groups of friends from high school that we both keep in contact with to this day.

We have had an empty lot behind us since we moved in 5 years ago.  Last week the big machinery pulled up and started digging early one morning.  Addy and London headed over to the neighbor's front porch for a better view. 

The exersaucer has turned into one giant teething toy for Ethan while his cheesy sister helps him with the real toys.

We knew this was the year we needed to re-stain our window shutters, so we just decided to go ahead and do the garage and front door at the same time.

Mother's Day

I had a lovely Mother's Day.  Jonathan made me a nice breakfast.  The girls gave me a nice card to go with my new workout shoes I picked out.  Then, they wanted to wrap a present...

So this is what they brought up from the basement.

Addy's school class made potato bracelets which came with this card.   Looks like in this girl's mind all I do all day long is exercise and nibble on carrots.  Oh contraire!

StayCation Day 4: Jump Around Utah

On our last day of our spring staycation, we met up with one of my favorite friends, Mandy and her cute girls Kesenia and Savannah (not pictured...in carseat with Ethan, who is also not pictured).  The girls had a great time playing and jumping while I was able to catch up with Mandy.  I am so grateful for good friends. 

*Not sure what setting my camera was on...blurry setting.  I need to learn how to use my dang camera...or get a really good one.  Just throwing that out there into the universe just in case someone may be reading my blog who needs a good birthday, anniversary, or Christmas idea. *

StayCation Day 2: Tracy Aviary, Lunch w/ Dad, Color Me Mine

Tuesday we all went with Addy's class on their field trip to Tracy Aviary at Liberty Park.

Mrs. Edvik provided all the kids with clipboards and crayons to draw some of the birds they saw and Addy took full advantage.

We met up with Jonathan at City Creek Center for some lunch and a little playtime.  I tried to do a little shopping with all 3 kids in tow and quickly realized why I shop online...we were outta there!

Addy has been wanting to go to Color Me Mine for a long time.  She loves arts and crafts, so we made the stop on our way home.  Both Ethan and London were asleep, so I just toted them in and had them sleep in the stroller while Addy went to work.  It was all fine and dandy until London woke up and cried for about 15 minutes straight which woke Ethan up.  So I was trying to hold them both while helping Addy hurry to finish so the Eberhardt spectacle could get the heck outta this place.  

Addy did a great job painting her ladybug treasure box which now resides on her dresser.  That cute proud face almost made the craziness worth it...almost.

Our little Ethan buddy was there too.

StayCation Day 1: Natural History Museum

We had planned a trip to St. George, but we had some work/school issues come up that prevented us from going.  I didn't take any clients for the week, so we planned a "staycation" with the girls and went somewhere different each day.

First stop:  The new Natural History Museum up by Red Butte Garden.  It's quite an amazing building and they give architectural tours for those who know about that kind of thing.  The extent of my architectural knowledge is, "Wow, that's a cool-looking building!"

With a stroller as part of our brigade, we were advised to start at the top and work our way down.  So, to the roof we went.

The dinosaurs which made quite an impact on my girls
