Happy 2nd Birthday London!

Our affectionately named "Stinkers" has officially turned two!  We decided to have an "owl" party.

She's sporting her rainbow jammies, Addy's shoes, sunglasses around her waist and a fancy necklace.

Gma Cozy did it again...super cute creation!

London had plenty of present helpers

Will is 8 months older than London...love his face in these pics.

She knew just how to blow out those candles!

  Four Generations

London at this age:

  • Loves to climb on anything and everything
  • Takes stairs, no matter how big, like an adult, which often leads to bumps and bruises, but she doesn't seem to mind
  • Does not hold still, ever!  (unless strapped in a carseat)  She enjoys making at least one parent walk up to the stand at church on a weekly basis to retrieve her.
  • Can go 11 hours without eating, which has made sleep much more enjoyable for all parties involved.
  • She can fight back and does not let Addy walk all over her.  She's not afraid to scream or use physical force to get her way. Prounounces Addy "Ah-dee"
  • She hates getting her diaper changed and results to serious squirming measures to get out of it.  The result is usually the total body hold given by me which usually results in her crying.  We may try potty training a bit early at our house with this child!
  • She is talking more and more.  She knows the sounds of most of the letters, but can't quite put them together to form actual words.  :-)
  • She has the most amazing sparkly blue eyes and blond hair that turns translucent when wet.
  • She loves to sing songs with favorites including: Popcorn Popping, I Am a Child of God, Wheels on the Bus, and Jesus Wants Me For a Sunbeam

London's 2 year old stats:

Height:  35.6" (90th percentile)
Weight: 25.5 lb (25th percentile)

    Mother's Day at Preschool

I was invited to my very first preschool Mother's Day program at Addy's preschool.

Addy had been rotating through a few of the songs they had been learning for the past month (having to hear that you are like a flower in springtime over and over just never got old...weird).  She was so excited for me to come to get my surprise.

Notice the long "Rapunzel-like" hair I've got going on in that picture.

My very own hot pad!  It was a great day!

    Book Worm

After realizing the house had been way too quiet, I made my way down the hall to check on London and found her here

catching up on Dora's latest goings on

It was the 5th book she had been reading as evidenced by the floor

She may not say much, but she's already reading...genius!
