After church we went to Grandma Ber's for the Annual Easter Egg Roll

Numbers were drawn, let the competition begin!

Fun with Friends

Pop's Retirement Party

Congratulations to Pops on his retirement!  How many people do you know that have worked at the same company since high school?  This guy has...and worked his way all the way up to head honcho of Redman Moving & Storage.  We enjoyed a lovely lunch at his office.

What the kiddos were doing in his office when Pops wasn't looking...

Sans also hosted a lovely dinner at Market Street with all of Jonathan's siblings and wives as well as John's business parter.  It was such a nice evening...didn't take one picture.  :-(

Happy Retirement Pops!

Sarah Virginia Hansen Kelly

Melissa, Me, Sarah, Kate

I have known Sarah since the 3rd grade.  We lived by each other growing up, we would "play together" often.  I still remember her phone number:  944-1334.  We danced at the same dance studio.  Her sister would drive us to school in a 1978 Honda Civic.  We were on dance company and drill team together.  We were roommates in college.  We served missions together.  She is definitely like a sister to me.

I am so excited that she found a great man who appreciates the amazing woman she is!  She was an absolutely gorgeous bride!  Love you Sarah!

Our American Girl

Get the newest American Girl doll, London. She cuts her own hair, wears only pajamas and swimsuits, and for a limited time, comes with free shipping!

Our little London, formerly called "Stinkers," keeps us on our toes.

I got through Addy's toddler years with never experiencing the dreaded self-haircut.  London, on the other hand, very artfully gave herself a stylish mullet.  When I asked her if she cut her hair, she proudly said, "Yes, with the scissors in Addy's closet!"
(She wasn't sad about cutting her hair, she was annoyed that I was making her hold still)

Exhibit A & B

My solution is to always have her hair in two little buns on top of her head to hide the lopsidedness of it all.

This girl will play hard, and crash hard

In her beloved "princess" jammies...a regular around our house.

Still has her lashes

Some of the funny things that London is doing lately:

She is really into Angry Birds.  We've had discussions about how you don't ask complete strangers holding iPhones if you can play on their phone.  Those discussions seem to fall on deaf ears...or a 2-year-old's ears.  Although her love for Angry Birds has prompted her to ask for an Angry Bird birthday cake.

When you ask her to do something, she responds with Okie Dokie George.  ???   When I respond to her questions by saying "Okie Dokie London,"  she says, "I not Dokie London!"

Other things London says:

peeger = computer
wait ta me =  wait for me
croc-a-idol =  crocodile
Dee Nee Donalds = McD's

A Bragging Mother

I received this nice email from Addy's Kindergarten teacher:

Mrs. Eberhardt,
I wanted to send a quick note regarding Addy. She is such a fun and kind addition to our classroom.  She is motivated in choosing her work, and very well-balanced in subject mastery.
I am constantly impressed with her work ethic and focus on doing a good job on everything she does at school.
After having a conversation with another teacher about Addy's kind heart and hard work, I realized that I needed to send you a note to let you know how much we love your daughter!

Have a great spring break!
Michelle Edvik

I'm happy to know that hopefully I am the only one who has to deal with her sass.  I told Addy that the thing that made me the happiest in this email was that it said she had a "kind heart."  Just like her Dad!

You Don't See This Everyday

This is one of those ginormous, as-big-as-an-In-n-Out-type Kennecot trucks with a flat tire being taken somewhere.  Don't they have a tire shop on-site for things like this?

The "oversized load" little truck was following this large truck and the driver had to get out and move everyone heading south on Bangerter Highway because the truck had to turn into their lanes to maneuver this bad boy through that turn.

Ethan: Three Months Old

The scowl has been replaced with some expressive eyebrows

Sweet smiles with a good cheek scratch

His biggest fans!

Ethan at three months is just yummy!  I love this little guy!

He is sleeping through the night, at least a couple times a week. (hallelujah!)
He hates his carseat and if he's not asleep, he's crying anytime he's in the car until I get him out.
He loves the bathtub, always has, but now he loves to kick those legs and splash a lot.
He found his hands and loves to suck on them.
He smiles all the time and talks to us, my favorite.  We still haven't had a good giggle, but he's come close.
