Crazy Cousins

Addy & Annie are 3 months apart and they are so fun together. It's great when we have her over because Addy is entertained. We had Annie over to play in our little backyard pool. We had lunch and played with every toy they could find.

Addy wouldn't have anything to do with those bunny ears on Easter, but now she loves them. What makes you think they are watching TV? And no Addy's legs are not broken, just her normal way of sitting.

Park City Getaway

It's been a long time since Jonathan and I have been anywhere without Addy so we decided to take a long weekend and head to Park City. We shopped, hiked, ate, slept, and rode the Alpine Coaster.

So if you haven't been to Park City in the past 2 summers, they have a fun new addition called the Alpine Coaster and it's a riot! The problem with the Alpine Slide is that I am always a little nervous to go as fast as I can because I feel like I'm going to slide off the track. Well, the coaster is hooked to the track so you can go crazy on the way down. It's a great ride!

This picture shows how you go on the sled, cross the bridge, and continue straight up the mountain, when you get to the top you wind down through the trees. Fun, Fun!

Days of '47 Youth Festival

We (Jonathan, Addy, and I as well as Tyler, Jenni, and their girls) went downtown to the City & County Building for the Youth Festival. They had lots of tents up with different fun activities to do. I think Addy may enjoy it a little more next year.
At the Home Depot station, you could make a birdhouse or a stool or a helicopter. Tyler & Jenni's girls were very cooperative. If you notice in this picture, there is no Addy, just Jonathan making the helicopter for her. She didn't want anything to do with a hammer and nails.

Addy & Annie

Addy wasn't so sure about getting her face painted, so Claire went first to show her how easy it was and how cool it looked when it was all finished. When I asked Addy if she wanted to get hers done, she still said, "No." So the nice lady suggested she just do a little flower on Addy's arm. I thought it was a great idea.

Addy didn't think it was such a great idea. Sheesh, you'd think she was getting a shot or something. Buck up Addy, it's just paint! After the trauma was over, if you asked her to see her pretty flower, she would pull her arm in close to her body and say, "No!"

But, no worries, it's nothing a little sugar can't fix.

...and sprinkles...

...and more sprinkles. I finally had to move them out of hands reach which brought on another melt down.

Addy's Shoe Fetish

Addy is obsessed with shoes. One minute she wants them on, then next she wants them off. She changes them constantly throughout the day. Recently, she started into my closet. I have to say, for a knock-kneed, flat-footed little girl, she can do pretty darn good in heels.

Frampton Family Reunion

We had a great time Frampton Family Reunion in my grandparents' backyard. We ate great food, played lots of fun games, and enjoyed everyone's company.

Relay races. Walking water to the other chair holding a tablespoon and wearing flippers.

My uncle built this beam to go across the pool. More fun relay races.

Cute cousin friends, Stella, Claire & Emmy

Happy Birthday America

We had a great 4th of July that started off with breakfast at Silver Lake with Dani and her kids.

And finished off at my parents' house for swimming and a BBQ. This is the fun new toy my parents bought, because the swimming pool and trampoline aren't enough.

Home Team Update

Despite not having any idea which camera to look at and wearing a shirt that looked horrible, looks like I did an okay enough job to make the home page for KJZZ. I'm expecting a call from the Today Show any day now. I'm glad it's over. I had a nightmare the night before that I got stuck in the snow on my way there!?!

And for all you former Coug(arettes)s out there, I told Julie about the dance we did to her song Pray For Rain back in the day, she was honored. :-)

Home Team?

To all my fans out there...

I will be on the highly rated morning talk show on KJZZ called Home Team this Monday, July 14th at 9am. Set your TiVos. When the lady called to book me, I had never heard of this show before, so I agreed because if I look like a total fool for my 6 minute segment, at least I'll know that just my parents were watching. :-)

God Bless America

Happy 4th of July.
Don't know what the homeowner's association will say, but we decorated for the whole street.
Yes, I know, Jonathan did inform me that I did the stripes wrong and that my blue square of stars is too small, but can't we just stick a feather in our hats and call it macaroni?
(By the way, the last stripe is still drying which is why it looks a little crazy)
Fun idea I got out of Family Fun Magazine. Make your own sidewalk chalk with equal parts of cornstarch and water. Add tempura paint. Use a paint roller and have at it. This may become a new tradition...painting fun things for each holiday...hmm, I like the sound of that. And next year, my flag will be precise.

My little helper who wouldn't let me put her jammies on...can you say stubborn?
