Bear Lake 2013

We got to stay here at this beautiful beachside cabin on the east shore of Bear Lake with all the Carlsons.

We had lots of fun activites.  Grandma Cozy brought paint for all the kiddos to paint their names.

I may or may not have let my OCD get the best of me and re-painted their letters.  :/

Lots of fun at the beach

Ethan mastered the "smile and head tilt" when anyone pointed a camera at him.

Jenni planned a fun "Bear Lake Olympics"

Which included things like:  water sprint

My two brothers tied for the fastest score, so this was the tie breaker...

Good thing I had a camera because it came down to this photo finish!

We did paddle board jousting.

Water-balloon tossing

Sling-shot water balloon catching

London learned to "waterski" and went 4 more times after this and would have gone more if she could have.  Thanks Tyler for pulling her over and over again.

Addy got up too, on real skis but then face-planted and didn't want anything to do with them again.

Jumproping in the entryway.

Fun rides on the Wyoming Carlson's Razr

Hilarious games of charades

All the cute cousins

Thanks for the fun trip everybody!
Love you lots!

Ethan: 18 months old

This boy melts my heart.  He is always happy, easy going, snuggly, smiley, and fun!

He LOVES watermelon and will eat and eat and eat until his shirt is typically soaked with juice!

He loves his big sisters and has become fun little pals with London.
He can even say their names "A-addy" & "Wundin"

Caught a rare moment when he fell asleep on our chair with his favorite blankie.  We often refer to him as "Linus."

He is obsessed with trucks, motorcycles, and heavy machinery of all kinds.  He makes all sorts of sound effects and will excitedly yell, "Twuck!" anytime he sees one in the car...and where we live, that's a lot!  He uses that pointer finger a lot.  If he doesn't know the word, his pointing just gets more and more vigorous.

We often get comments from others about his white, white hair, his big blue eyes, and his constant smile.  At his check-up he as 95th percentile for height and 85th for weight...by far my biggest buddy.

He is content...always.  I took this pic after we had been at the beach all day with no nap.  He was just sitting quietly with a small smile on his face.  No whining, no crying...just hanging out.

He is, by far, my most photogenic child.  A camera comes out and he tilts his head and gives a big cheeser.

Other words he can say:

Peekaboo
"Where'd it go?"  "Der it is"
Daddy (but often calls him Mom)
Mommy
Ba ba (bottle)
Bankie (blankie)
Nigh nigh
Twuck

If you say "Let's go outside" he is at the door in a matter of seconds.  He loves throwing rocks, getting in the dirt, and just walking around.  He also loves showers.  If he hears the shower go on, he's pulling up his shirt and whining for someone to take his clothes off.

He's not a huge fan of nursery, and has actually only been once.  I'd just rather take him home and put him down for a nap.  Maybe if we ever get away from 1pm church, we could give it a fair shot.

When he wakes up from his naps, he loves to snuggle his head in my neck.  He often wants to be held for a good half hour or so after he wakes up.  If I'm trying to get anything done around the house, that means I'm lugging all 28 pounds of him around.  Best bicep workout ever!

We love you little buddy!  We can't imagine our family without you.  So glad we have you and your sweet personality to keep us smiling and laughing.

Rock Springs

We spent a fun weekend up with the Carlson's in Rock Springs in their gorgeous new home.  Tyler & Jonathan completed a grueling 80-mile mountain bike race in Laramie while Jenni and I went for a little ride ourselves.

Ethan loved the landscaper's working in the backyard.

We spent a crazy afternoon at their rec center.  The lifeguards were out to get us and really enjoyed exercising their ridiculous amount of power.  They had all sorts of crazy rules that they seemed to be making up on the spot.  This rule summarized it all...I mean...what?  How long is too long?  Made for some good laughs.

Once the boys got home, Tyler took us out on a crazy fun ride in their Razr.  We went up some super steep hills that made me scream for my life.  I even got to drive it for a bit...so fun!

Thanks Carlsons for hosting us and introducing us to your new neighborhood.  Can't wait to come back.
