Murphy Moved In

Just got back in town and it seems we've had an unwelcomed guest move-in.

  • Before we left, our less than 2-year-old GE front loader washer broke. Great quality. GE won't do anything to help. Well, I shouldn't say that. For a mere $80, they will happily send someone out to tell me what I already know and then charge me another $150 for the part and $60 per hour to fix it. (Don't buy GE!)
  • While we were gone, someone got our checking account information and proceeded to spend over $800 at Target and Walmart. Get to open a new account and re-do all that paper work that goes along with direct deposit and automatic withdrawals while we wait for the bank to give us our money back. (Really Wells Fargo, no hurry, just take your sweet time with that fraud investigation, our money tree out back is just starting to bloom)
  • Before we left, I turned our thermostat down to 60 degrees so Jonny was making the comment on the way home in the cold rain that our house was going to be chilly. Imagine our surprise to walk in our house and find our fireplace on and our house at 80 degrees!?! Not sure which day of the 7 we've been gone it magically decided to turn on, but does anyone have any guesses on how much we're going to owe the gas company?

Could someone please throw us a bone...or some money?

  1. I could have told you that about GE!!! Our GE dishwasher broke after only a year or two! I'll never buy GE again!

  5. So really, don't you think it's time to tell Jonathon that maybe it was you that spent the $800 dollars at target? Or are you still in denial?? :-) What a bummer! Hope your trip was better than the last few hours!

  8. PS whenever we go on a trip I make the Emery's come check inside my house everyday. It gives me the peace of mind I need to be gone.

Maybe arrange something like that nest time.
