Whenever I'm in the kitchen, the first thing out of Addy's mouth is, "Can I help?" I agree and give her a bowl to stir or ingredients to measure, etc. and the next thing out of her mouth is, "I do it myself Mom," and then I am no longer allowed to help.
that is just sooo common at my house. Now, every time I bake and they want to help, they get their own bowl and spoon and I set out flour, sugar, and odds and ends for them to make their OWN thing. It can get messy, but at least they are "helping" and happy.
