Grateful

A couple mornings after the Haiti earthquake, London woke up early and everytime I tried to put her back down to sleep, she would cry. So, I wrapped her up burrito-style and held her tight as I hung out watching the morning news in the recliner. As I watched the tragic images of such grave human suffering from the earthquake flash over and over on the television, tears came to my eyes. I couldn't stop them. My arms were wrapped around my baby so I couldn't wipe them. I found myself having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude to be in my warm home, a sturdy shelter, with my baby in my arms...who cares if the wash didn't get done the day before. Sometimes it's nice to be reminded just how good we have it. The Haitians are in our prayers. May the Lord bless them. May the generosity continue to pour out upon them.
