Mountain Biking in Moab

Jonathan, my brother Tyler, his brother-in-law Clark, uncle Jason, cousin Dallin, and a few others I don't know all headed out Friday night to Moab. They woke up early Saturday morning and started mountain biking the White Rim Trail. I think it's like 75 or 80 miles or something. They were planning on just driving home that night, but I think all of the wives were relieved when they decided to just stay over and drive back Sunday morning, especially because they didn't get off the trail until after 8 pm. (Maybe that was their plan the whole time, tell the wives we'll only be gone 1 night, but really it will be 2) Jonathan hasn't really been mountain biking since our first date almost 6 years ago, so he was in a bit of pain and plans on sticking to his road bike for the time being. :-)

They are standing on an arch

I told Jonathan that he could blog about his experience if he wanted more detail for the record, so we'll see if he adds anything else. He probably won't because Tyler would make fun of him for "blogging."
So...Shelley, Lisa, & Jenni...when's the girls' trip?
*****
After reading my wife's blog on my recent White Rim moutain biking experience, I thought it was necessary to add a few of the lessons I learned from this trip.
1 - Trying to do this trail in one day without being on bike all winter is asinine :).
2 - I have a new found respect for older guys. Especially the gentlemen who rode ahead and got our cars and saved me from a long night in the desert, thank you.
3 - Jason Frampton may be old and a little pudgy, but he has endurance.
4 - Though I revere and trust the judgement of Jason and my brother-in-law, Tyler, I will deeply consider the next adventure they concoct.
Just kidding, I'd do again in a heart beat guys:).
5 - Having a little extra around the waist has its advantages.
And finally, Miki as much as I respect and appreciate the opinion of your brother. I am my own person and act according to my own ideas and desires - be what they may :).
