It seems that everytime I sit down to nurse London, she's into something. Calvin and Addy found the markers and enjoyed coloring all over their faces. A couple hours later, I got up from nursing to find Addy and she had scribbled marker down both sides of the hallway, all over the doors, and all around the perimeter of her room. She knew she was in trouble and spent some time in timeout. I started cleaning up the washable marker (thank goodness!) and then decided that Addy should be the one to clean up. I got her out of timeout and gave her the washcloth and she cleaned her room. She kept saying, "See Mom, it's okay, it comes off."
So, the next day, after nursing, I got up, went into her room and she had colored all over her white dresser and her mattress (I was washing her bedding). Addy! Did we not go over this yesterday?!?! We DO NOT color on anything but paper. On her way to timeout, she kept reminding me that it was okay because she can clean it off. After showing her that you can still see the pink marker on her white dresser and that it doesn't come off the mattress, I could see the wheels turning in her head. She sat on the floor in her room watching me get the sheets ready to put back on her markered mattress, and she said, "You can cover it with
those Mommy? Sound wike a pwan? (like a plan)"

Other funny Addy-isms:
- When she wants to sit by you, she squeezes herself on and says, "scootch."
- After telling her she had to get in the tub otherwise her hair would turn green, she said to a freshly-showered Jonathan, "Dad, did you get in the shower so your hair doesn't turn green?"
- Jonathan may have told Addy a while ago that his legs were broken in an attempt to get out of going to the park. Literally, over a week later, Addy was asking to go to the park while I was getting dinner ready. I told her we would go after dinner when Dad got home. She said, "No, Daddy can't go, his legs are broken." After a phone call to her Dad congratulating him on his lie, he came home excited to go to the park. Addy's response, "Dad, your legs are fixed?"
- Along with starting sentences with "because" she will also start them by saying "benember" (remember)... and then will ask you about certain memories. The other day I was in my room and Addy came in and pointed to a wedding picture and said, "Benember Mom when you were a princess?" Too cute.
- She calls rice krispie treats, christmas trees.

That is so funny! Sometimes it's hard to be mad when you can really tell they didn't get it and can see them trying to fit the pieces together.
