Bryce Canyon/Zions/St. George

Jonathan had planned a century ride with some of his buddies down in St. George and invited me to join him.  I was excited about the idea of a nice, warm getaway, but I had one problem.  London doesn't take a bottle...never has...never will.  (She is pretty darn good at the sippee cup, but HATES formula...can't blame her...just the smell...bleh!)  Anyhoo, that meant that my little lovers' getaway now had a baby in tow.   Then I felt like if we were bringing London, we might as well throw Addy in since she would love a few days of swimming and such.  So...first stop...

Bryce Canyon

We thought it would be fun to hike around, well, who knew there would still be 2 feet of snow on the ground.  Didn't pack winter clothes, so we just enjoyed the scenery from the car.  The first night London got up about 5 times...not off to a good start.

So, back in the car and heading to warmth at Zions.
Don't let this cute face fool you...she was so whiny and uncooperative that Jonathan and I had just about had it.

Despite no sleep, this little girl just smiles.
(Thanks for the backpack Eliza!)

More hiking

Where's your other daughter, you ask?

Oh...here she is.  Wouldn't look at the camera if I paid her.  Jonathan and I had to take turns carrying her because she was "soooo tired."  That is until she saw another little girl her size hopping along down the trail and all the sudden she was good to go.

Fun at the park, not as warm as I would have wished

So, after another sleepless night, I was done.  We packed up the kids, saved our Marriott points, dropped Jonathan off at his buddy's house, and we headed home.

The ride was the next day and according to Jonathan it was cold and super windy.  Definitely NOT ideal biking conditions.  His buddy fell and ended up separating his shoulder.

All in all, this was NOT the nice, warm, relaxing vacation we had planned it to be, but we had fun and learned that with kids...it's never really a vacation, is it?
