This Is The Place

Last Monday, This is the Place State Park had free admission and free ice cream. Jonathan was out of town and my sister's husband was working late, so we took all the kids (mine + her 4) up for family night. It was great!

They have a petting zoo, but Addy was content to just watch from afar making her cow sounds at the llamas.

Addy and Cowbee (as Addy calls him) enjoying the stream. I'm sure the volunteers especially loved all handfuls of woodchips Addy kept throwing in. Who's this girl's mother anyway?!?

Loving the big rabbits. Calvin has a little bit of Lenny in him, if you know what I mean.

They have a bunch of little miniature houses for the kids to play in. Addy was content just opening and closing the doors. Apologies to all those children whose fingers she smashed in the door, including Calvin.

Riding the wooden train. This was topped off by riding the real train around the park before we headed home. Fun place to visit. I'm sure we'll do it again, but definitely NOT when it's 90 degrees. God bless the pioneers.

  2. Ok so I put this comment in the wrong post! I meant to put it in the one where addy wanted to go swimming...so when I say "I think we've all been there" its in relation to that and not that we've all been to the "this is the place" park. :) Now I can rest knowing I cleared that one up! Lets attribute it to a lack of sleep lately due to a teething baby.
